Supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and carers

Do you need Super-Vision?

Experience and qualifications?

I am an experienced consultative supervisor, working with individuals and groups in voluntary and organisational settings. These are usually counsellors, psychotherapists and pastoral carers or other professionals working within challenging roles. I completed specific supervision training as part of my MSc counselling degree, and regularly undertake supervision myself.

I see supervision as an opportunity for practitioners to grow into the professionals they have it within themselves to be.  The consultative supervision offered is not connected with 'line management',  but more about providing a safe confidential relationship offering personal support and development. It could also (especially in respect of counselling and psychotherapy professionals) include elements of holding the safety and well being of both the supervisee and the supervisor. Typically sessions are contracted over a period of time and will normally take place monthly (or for trainee practitioners fortnightly).

I also offer independent consultative supervision to students undertaking Masters or Doctoral studies (usually either connected with vision impairment, and/or who are using narrative research methodologies.

What does it cost?

I normally charge £60 per hour for an individual session (I do however offer concessions to students and those undertaking voluntary practitioner placements). Group supervision charges are negotiable depending on requirements.

Where do I work?

Most of my work is currently  via telephone or via encrypted online service - I can offer in-person sessions in Nairnshire.
